About this event

GEO’s 2012 National Conference will offer a range of perspectives and new ideas for smarter grantmaking that leads to better results and present opportunities for participants to learn from the wisdom and experience of their peers. Session topics include: Supporting Effectiveness sessions explore how grantmakers can improve practices to build grantee capacity and better support nonprofit sustainability. Evaluation and Learning sessions help grantmakers and their partners better use evaluation to foster learning and make real-time improvements in their work. Collaborative Problem-Solving sessions focus on how grantmaker can best partner with other funders, grantees, corporations and government agencies to solve problems and grow impact. Scaling Impact sessions offer strategies and knowledge about how we can help nonprofits achieve better and more results. Networking sessions allow for peer interaction and connections to help you turn learning into action.

Eligibility

GEO's 2012 National Conference is open to current GEO members; Philanthropy Northwest members; all staff and trustees of grantmaking institutions; staff of philanthropy-supporting infrastructure groups, such as regional associations of grantmakers and affinity groups; and staff of academic institutions and programs focused primarily on the study of philanthropy and the practice of giving. The conference is not intended to be an opportunity for solicitation of any kind and is not open to grantseekers, unless speaking at the conference. Consultants are not eligible to attend the conference unless they are presenting content or registered as a representative of a current client foundation. Eligibility will be verified by GEO.
