NFF Awards $1 million loan to Big Apple Circus to Refinance Mortgage on its Rehearsal Grounds

Big Apple Circus, founded in 1977, is best known for its classical one-ring circus. Big Apple further enriches the community by staffing children's hospitals with visiting clowns, offering special performances to visually and hearing impaired children and providing free and subsidized tickets to economically or physically challenged children.

The recent $1 million NFF loan, the second to Big Apple since 2001,enables the organization to continue to provide such integral services. More specifically, the funds will be used to refinance the mortgage on its property. Big Apple relies upon this property to keep the circus and other programs going as it houses rehearsal and performance space as well as living space for several performers and box office staff members.

Previously, NFF extended a five year $700,000 working capital term loan to Big Apple, providing vital financing at a critical time in Big Apple's development.
