"The Nonprofit Finance fund has been awarded a grant of $50,000 by the Boston Foundation," Clara Miller, President and CEO said today.
The grant will be used for the expansion of Capacity Building for Massachusetts Nonprofits. NFF has integrated Capacity Building products and services for mid-sized nonprofits.
"Our organization has offered financial services in the form of loans and advisory services for the last twenty-five years," Ms. Miller said. "The grant from the Boston Foundation will give us additional resources to expand services in the Boston area."
Nonprofit Finance Fund was founded in 1980 and has served hundreds of nonprofits nationwide. Janet Thompson is chairperson of the board of directors.
The Boston Foundation, one of the nation's oldest and largest community foundations, has an endowment of $648 million and made grants of more than $50 million to nonprofit organizations this year in the Greater Boston area and beyond. The Boston Foundation also sponsors special initiatives, convenes groups of people to explore important issues, and works with other organizations and with government to find new ways to build community.
