Kristin Giantris Joins New York-Based Nonprofit Finance Fund as New Vice President of Northeast Region

BOSTON, MA.///October 31, 2007///Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) announced today that Kristin Giantris is its new vice president for the northeast region.

Giantris is a seasoned professional in the area of economic development and finance, combining over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit and for profit sectors, where she worked at senior levels of both public and private institutions and one-on-one with local entrepreneurs and nonprofits.

Giantris will oversee the continued growth and expansion of NFF's activities in a region that is critical to the future of NFF, responding to increasing demand from nonprofits and funders for NFF's services and knowledge in the development of the sector. Under her direction, NFF will continue to build strategic partnerships with forward-looking foundations, and to deliver high-quality financial and advisory products to serve the sector.

Most recently, Giantris was a vice president at Citigroup Global Markets Inc., where she managed cross-border, US-dollar debt issuance for various financial, corporate and governmental clients. Prior to her time at Citigroup, she served as a multi-country program officer in Washington, DC and a country director in Albania for the nonprofit firm ACDI/VOCA, managing agribusiness technical assistance and small business development programs.

In New York, Giantris worked directly with a local economic development corporation, New York Industrial Retention Network, specifically on the retention of food manufacturing businesses in New York City.

NFF President Clara Miller said: "We are thrilled to welcome Kristin into this very important role as the new vice president of NFF's northeast network. Kristin's extensive work background in economic development and international nonprofit management over the past two decades make her an outstanding fit for this position. Her expertise will complement the array of talent already on the ground in this region. We are looking forward to having Kristin on the NFF team, and are confident that the region will thrive under her leadership."

Giantris earned a Masters Degree in Public Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from Kenyon College. She is originally from the Boston area.
