NFF honored as "Hero" at the 2009 CPCA Annual Conference

Along with other partners of the Emergency Loan Fund, NFF was named a California Primary Care Association (CPCA) "Hero" for 2009, and was recognized at the CPCA statewide conference, on October 1, 2009.

CPCA is the state of California's leading membership and advocacy organization for community clinics. CPCA worked with NFF and other lenders to develop the Emergency Loan Fund as a response to the ongoing budget deficit and budget impasse situation in the State of California. The state stops all payments until an official budget is passed, which has caused Medi-Cal insurance payments to be delayed for as long as 85 days. Medi-Cal insurance payments are the primary revenue source for community health clinics in California.
